they just also need to somehow defend their fig leaf-role as leakers....now that it isn't risky anymore, they can ask for useless documents, which would have been published during the campaign if someone was able to release them.

it's possible that they are going to turn on trump for whatever reasons or if julian doesn't get his pardon but trump's anti-internationalist/anti-capitalist/anti-american ideology is very in line with their own right now.
