I'll believe it when I see it.

Clickbaity headline from a source I've never heard of. Also where would she run? Primary Warren or Gillibrand?

Oh and this sentence:

As nutty as this article was if you go back to the New York Post article referenced, it suggests a House run as also being possible. No clue where Kennedy would do so, but a lot more plausible.

Well according to the NY Post article this story is based on:

I wouldn't be surprised if she primaries Gillibrand.  It is a well known fact that she wanted that seat in 2009 but Paterson chose to give it to Gillibrand instead of Cuomo or C. Kennedy who were the frontrunners.  Gillibrand at the time was known as the most conservative Democrat in the New York congressional delegation.

I thought Chelsea Clinton was being groomed for Carolyn Maloney's seat.

She's going for Nita Lowey's seat iirc.

She should move to VA-10 and run against Comstock.

That's not how political royalty works. Clintons and Kennedys run in safe Dem seats so that the only obstacle to assured reelection year after year is a primary, a place they'd much rather fight their battles due to their vast connections within the party allowing them to tilt the playing field vastly in their favor. No way in hell Caroline Kennedy runs in anything other than a race she's assured to win, because winning a general election in a swing district is a headache year after year that our oligarchical overlords don't wanna deal with.

Same deal with the Bushes though to be fair to Jeb Florida is merely a lean R state. Neither president Bush ever ran for anything they could lose outside of the presidency, however.

HW actually lost several Senate and Congressional races in the 1960s IIRC.

The W ran for TX-19 in 1978, and lost. The Democrat who beat him was pretty conservative, and later became a Republican and good friends with GWB.

Kennedy was the favourite for the seat; but she didn't want to open up her tax returns and had a rather rocky couple of weeks where the media storm and bad management on her part basically cost her the Senate Seat.

I can't see her primarying Gillibrand; there was a rather pathetic attempt by Bloomberg and others to do that in 2010 with Harold Ford which lead to liberal interest groups lining up with Gillibrand. Whilst Kennedy would be much more progressive than Ford she'd still struggle taking on Gillibrand who's been a largely progressive Senator (if she wants a Senate Seat in 2018 she'd have a better shot in NJ)

I'd be down for a Caroline Kennedy political run. The Kennedys, on balance, have generally been more hawkish and more Pro-Israel then the party as a whole.

Kennedy would probably lose. Her fake Senate run was a huge disaster.
