Doesn't seem like a good idea.

She'd be excellent in the Senate though.

I get the impression a lot of people are fed up with political dynasties.

In the primaries, Trump railed against Caroline Kennedy harder than Hillary, lol:

If she (as planned) had been appointed to the Senate in 2009, she would have had a much better shot. However there were issues with her taxes/the entire Kennedy estate (which is still tied up in decisions made by Joe Kennedy in the 50's)

She's not even the best Kennedy to run for 2020

I would be fine with her, but she needs more experience in public office first.

Americans have generally have a sour view on dynasties, at least on a national level. After all, weren't we founded in part due to our disgust with dynasties? 😊

To be fair, the Kennedys haven't done anywhere as much running this country into the ground as the Bushes and the Clintons.

She should run for Congress before running. Once she's in elected office, she would be formidable.

She'll be 60 this year; she's my age.

Had she replaced Hillary in the Senate in NY, she'd be in the mix.  She's starting too late, and she hasn't really done anything up until now that would register with people as Presidential qualifications.

I loved JFK and RFK, but I think America is over the Kennedys.

Does it matter anymore? Trump didn't have qualifications and it's clear he's in over his head so why couldn't being ambassador for 3 years count?

Trump brought more major executive experience to the Presidency than anyone since Eisenhower.  He's been thought of as a "Reality TV Star", but he was being asked if he were going to run for President as early as 1988, when there was no Reality TV, and his sole credentials were his experiences at the top of his business (a very large business at that).

Trump has been an international businessman at the highest levels.  Frankly, this qualifies a person to be President far more than folks are willing to acknowledge.  In the 1980s, the Democrats were actively wooing Lee Iacocca to be their nominee; was he "unqualified"?

Trump was helped by building his name up for his whole career, and that stretches way back. Caroline hasn't really accomplished much, and unless she runs for a congressional seat, she's not going anywhere in national politics.
