The media always have a hard time dealing with politicians which doesn't play after their rule book, especially because journalists are fundamental nothing but bullies (and not brave bullies), if they see weakness they're like sharks, but they brown-nose anyone showing strength. They look at Trump and they're afraid of him, and his popularity. But the moment he show weakness, they will fall over each other to get a bite of him.
BlueSwan you could see the same with Fogh in Denmark, they was like lap dogs for the man, of course he was smart enough to leave Danish politics as his tactic stopped working.
