Obviously the Falcons, because my Steelers got eliminated by the Cheaters of Foxborough. #NeverCheatriots

The Falcons, but I wouldn't be mad if the Patriots won.

Falcons, since I'd rather not see Brady pass up Montana in Super Bowl rings. It's hardly the biggest deal, though.

The Patriots, who will hopefully  officially become one of the greatest sports dynasties. Plus you gotta love Brady, one of the best QB in the NFL!

I hate to see the Patriots win, but I'd really really really hate to see a team I hate led by someone from BC finally break through. I might actually watch this year just to ensure that happens.

For the first time in my sports fandom (since Patriots-Rams SB), I do not have a clear choice in who I want to win the Super Bowl. Matt Ryan is great and I feel great for the Falcon players, but I am not too interested in giving a championship to Atlanta. On the other hand the Patriots and Boston don't need another championship, but I like Tom Brady and I would love to see him stick it to the commish. I am kinda sad that I don't know who to root for, but theres a chance over these two weeks I pick a side. In the meantime I will just celebrate that the Packers lost.

This is the first time in 12 years that I will be rooting for the NFC team in the Super Bowl:

2017: Falcons (vs. Patriots)
2016: Broncos (vs. Panthers)
2015: Patriots (vs. Seahawks)
2014: Broncos (vs. Seahawks)
2013: Ravens (vs. 49ers)
2012: Patriots (vs. Giants)
2011: Steelers (vs. Packers)- I was pretty neutral in this one
2010: Colts (vs. Saints)
2009: Steelers (vs. Cardinals)
2008: Patriots (vs. Giants)
2007: Colts (vs. Bears)
2006: Steelers (vs. Seahawks)
2005: Eagles (vs. Patriots)- Last time I wanted the NFC
2004: Panthers (vs. Patriots)
2003: Raiders (vs. Buccaneers)- That's the first SB I remember caring about

Falcons - hate the Patriots, the team doesn't really have any terrible characters or scandals AFAIK, and I have a couple friends in Atlanta.

Patriots, duh. Though I wouldn't be too upset if they lost, I'm just glad they won a couple times in my lifetime.

Before my grandpa died in 2002, he said he couldn't believe that the Patriots won the superbowl before the Red Sox won the World Series again. The Sox winning never happened in his 77-year lifetime, and the Patriots used to be even more of a joke.

I was hoping for a patriots-packers superbowl, in which case I'd be rooting for the packers.  As it is, I prefer the patriots over the falcons.

The Falcons to me are as innocuous as they come. Unless you live in New Orleans (or maybe Tampa), I can't think of a reason to be against them.

For me, though, with the level of mastery and ingenuity that Belichick and Brady have reached, I'll lean on the side of the Patriots.

I haven't watched a lot of Falcons games (actually, I didn't watch any), but the Patriots' edge is that they can be physical, too. Blount, who was cut by the Steelers, is a load. Anybody see that play where it took seven Steelers to bring him down? The guy's a tank. Then they gave it to him the next play and he took it in the end zone. Game over. Meanwhile, the Patriots defense stood up to Pittsburgh on the goal line late 2nd qtr. We'll see, but that stuff is really important.

Pats' D (they can bend, but not break) and O-line will be key.
For a Falcons' victory, it's Matt Ryan. If he's off, they're in trouble.

Patriots because they're from the more liberal area.
