This is pointless and inexcusable. We are not being flooded with refugees from neighboring countries, and the refugees we do get are well vetted and small in number.

Well, they did probably see some special report on it from FOX News, read about it on Drudge, and saw videos on FB of how asylum seekers are mass raping and instituting Sharia zones in Europe. You know how credible that is. Obviously our country will soon be subject to the great Muslim conspiracy if we don't do something!!!! /s

Political refugees usually leave for the right reasons, and if they can't return they start acting like good citizens.

Does anyone have any problems with the various waves of Jewish refugees to America (even in colonial times) from those fleeing the Inquisition to those fleeing Nazism and Communism? Mexicans escaping the dangerous Mexican Revolution? People simply choosing our side of the Iron Curtain?  

If they don't leave, their American-born children have every cause to assimilate economically, if not by religion or culture. But being different isn't a crime in America (at least until this year); such may be a source of legitimate achievement.

Question: will America generate something that it has practically never pushed upon the world: political, ethnic, or religious refugees?

I wish I had other options, really. You were not reporting me - but others did, and my comments on this board, at least, are removed. I have promised its moderator to behave.

If you really think I care about being a moderator, you really have nothing better to do with you life. For me it is just a (very small, admittedly) service to the community. If anybody else wants to take it, they are welcome.
