South America results: Argentina wins!

✓Argentina - 57.1%
Uruguay - 42.9%

Not a lot of people voted, and I'm hoping that will change with this round.

2nd place overall: Germany
1st place in region: Norway, Poland
2nd place in region: Czech Republic, Netherlands, Spain, U.K.

Africa:

1st place in region: Cape Verde, Gabon, Morocco
2nd place in region: Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa

Asia:
1st place overall: Japan
2nd place overall: India
1st place in region: Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Thailand
2nd place in region: Israel, Mongolia, Nepal, Singapore, Uzbekistan

Oceania:
1st place overall: New Zealand
2nd place overall: Australia

South America:
1st place overall: Argentina
2nd place overall: Uruguay

North America will be divided into two main rounds: The first round will be countries in the Northern part of North America, as well as Central America. The second round will be the Caribbean. Each round will have a run-off, and then the final round will be between the winner of the first two rounds.

For this first round, I know that the U.S. is going to get a lot of votes, so I'm giving people the option of selecting two countries for this poll. This is the reason I waited so long to do North America; I wasn't sure how to actually make this an interesting thread without the U.S. just running away with the poll. Giving people the option of voting for two countries should at least allow some other countries to get votes in this round, though obviously each person will only get one vote for the run-off. Also, while Greenland is technically still considered a region of Denmark, I decided to make it an option, since it's culturally fairly different, is somewhat autonomous, and it's in a different continent.

Three days to vote! After North America is finished, there will be a final poll for the winners of each continent.
