Members of the Federalist Party, I am going to make a proposal, though implementation will probably have to wait until after the elections simply because of time and other constraints.

Anyway, I am going to propose a bylaw amendment restructuring the party around three caucuses. I figure there will be one caucus for each leg of the stool: Social Conservatives, Libertarians and Moderates. Each would have a caucus restricted to just Federalists (I will get to why, next), but in exchange would be able to vote on electing caucus leaders who would form the platform committee and each convention submit a platform proposal to be adopted by the convention.

The caucuses would be promoted to new members as they joined and be used to encourage other people to join the game and party as well. As well as boosting membership among people of similar viewpoints, they could also play a role in the election of members to the People's House. Each caucus would select two candidates to prioritize and thereby help promote the election of as many like minded candidates and ultimately a Federalist Majority as a whole, through better organization and turnout among all three core groups within the party.

Finally, the Federalist House Conference will be revived and used to better organize the Federalist members of the House and boost both activity and participation on debating issues. The above mentioned caucuses would thus have influence since members would be present from all three caucuses in the Federalist House Conference.

Are there any more non-fed endorsements wishing to be had before we proceed to a vote?

Yes, there is.

I'd like to request the endorsement of this distinguished party for governor of the North. After being Governor for four moths, I have grown accustomed to this job. I worked to make the Assembly an active place with healthy debate and have largely succeeded, passing nearly three times as many bills as my predecessor. I signed nearly all of these bills, including ones which received support from members of both parties. I proposed this region's very first budget after coordination with other officials in efforts to boost activity. I started councils and passed laws that increased citizen involvement in the region, giving more power to the people of the North and elevating the role of citizens in the lawmaking process. I worked tirelessly getting full slates of candidates in two Assembly elections. For all these reasons and more, my reelection campaign has also received endorsements from prominent Federalists, including Southern Governor and your nominee for president dfwlibertylover.

My record speaks for itself. I have a history of promoting activity and partnership in the Northern region. I hope to see all of you make the right decision when it comes time to vote.

Sections V and VI are new.

I made slight changes to the other sections to make them fit together more with those sections. I removed a clause from section VI on platform committees that would have conflicted, and made some other minor changes as well.

I am offering the above bylaw amendment now that we have a full slate of caucuses to advance this project.

I am also opening up a 48 declaration period for the positions of Federalist Party Chairman and Vice-Chairman.

So much for choice! I'm surprised NAY's even an option on the ballot.

I gave open declaration periods. Don't you have your own party to undermine with your rogue actions or something? Tongue

We like our party leaders over here, instead of in another party where the guy who finally won in the South and literally wrote almost all said party's legislation in Congress is repeatedly attacked in public by his own party's "elder statesmen."

Says the guy who wants the purge every single third party movement, oh except that one that we warned was dangerous for 2 years. They were fine as long as they were still voting for Laborites. Of course then they hitched a ride on a Laborite Administration and the end result was Bloody July. Tongue
