Maybe AndrewCA, but he's not as loyal to the Democrats a ER is to the Republicans.

I actually detest the Democratic Party, though, and would never label myself as an "ExtremeDemocrat" (by the way, what the f-ck is an "ExtremeRepublican", anyway? Is he an IRA member?) or anything like that. My affiliation with the party stems solely from Duverger's law. Personally, I'd love to see the Democratic Party go down in flames, but I'll take what I can get at the moment.

Yeah... Maybe InvisibleObama or IndyTexas would be a better choice.

Yeah, Invisible Obama seems like a good choice.  In many ways, someone like Ebowed would fit the bill, even if he's less pro-Democratic Party et al., he has a remarkably consistent leftist outlook on things.

IndyTexas is closer to someone like Winfield....a loyal Republican who is not a fan of the opposition who isn't actually ideologically even that far from the center.

The thing is, someone as far left as ER is far right wouldn't likely be  a loyal and enthusiastic support of the Democrats the same way ER is to the Republicans.

It would just be a partisan far-left liberal Democrat who is really passionate about supporting abortion.

To me, progressive and liberal are (and have always been synonyms), but it seems that some far-leftists are starting to think the word "liberal" describes something else.  But, conservatives always have used terms like "those libruls" to signify the opposite of us.

Anyway, I think that the Atlas poster who is the opposite of me is Zen Lunatic, someone who has a far-left ideology, but is still very committed to the Democratic Party and a "movement liberal", if you will (the inverse of a "movement conservative").

I mean, this is the objectively correct position, seeing as liberals and progressives did not get along historically and stem from significantly different ideological traditions. The terms are only synonymous today because the media is lazy and just assumes "big government = left" without bothering to ask about values.
