And now we have confirmation Trump intends to take us back to the Bush era:

But remember, it's Pussygrabber's opponents, like Hillary Clinton and Ted Cruz who are in thrall to the big banks.

Man,  it must be so much easier to be a politician (or cult-leader) when your followers are so stupid they make a box of rocks look like an MIT graduating class by comparison. Getting a coalition consisting of almost-pure morons was Pussygrabber's really great moment of brilliance.

So much for that "for the people" BS. Not like I didn't see this coming. It was clear from a mile away.

Dismantling Dodd-Frank, that’s a yuuuge idea. Please clab for our orange-in-chief clown. I’m sure all his working class or lower-middle class voters will enjoy it when the next financial crash comes around and they have to pay with taxpayer money for the recklessness of Wall Street.

Hillary wanted to strengthen regulations. But I guess she's better for Wall Street because she took their money, amirite? You should all give me your money because the act of giving money by itself makes you better off /s

trump explains:

President Trump says he plans to roll back Dodd-Frank financial regulations because so many friends of his in business can't borrow money.

The silence from his supporters is deafening. Whoever thought Trump might be able to maintain the rate of slow economic growth can now revisit this idea again. If this deregulation passes, you know exactly what will happen.

LOL! Aside from the fact that the content of this answer is totally nonsense, he’s talking like a five-year old in the kindergarden. America’s first orange president just can’t express himself in an appropriate manner for a grown-up. Sad!

Disgusting, with another recession so close I suspect a lot of boomers will have their 401(k)s destroyed for good, won't be able to retire and will be demanding welfare to survive in their old age.

I don't think they really care about this, because they don't believe that anything bad is going to happen. They will tell us that we are overreacting and to go chill.

I hope Trump's supporters lose their retirement savings if they support this.

We knew Trump wasn't a populist. He was a fraud if anything. This proves it. A real populist would back reintroducing Glass-Steagall.

It was even on the GOP's official platform during the election.

Spicer was asked about it at one of his press briefings and he said it was still on the table but not a high priority. Bannon, who appears to be Trump's right-hand man at this point, is a huge proponent of reinstating it.

Even Mnuchin, who everyone seems to be pointing to as the death of Glass-Steagal said he would support a "21st century Glass-Steagal" that "should reflect the reality of today's financial institutions and markets." whatever that means.

Hahahaha.  So?

I will say, though, that I have no problem with reinstating Glass-Steagall if it is met with watering down the absolute monstrosity that is Dodd-Frank.

He also said that pharma was getting away with murder. He was right. Why then, didn't he go to McConnell over the Sanders-Klobuchar Amendment? He also said that he was going to 'drain the swamp'. Really? Oil company CEO as Secretary of State, John Bolton as number 2, Steve Mnuchin for the treasury, Jeff Sessions for attorney-general, a guy who has called a white civil rights attorney "a traitor to his race". Then there's Betsy DeVos, who wouldn't be there if she hadn't donated millions of dollars to the Republican Party.

I could go on.
