Seemed like a nice retrospective idea in response to PS4 vs Xbox One...and now that Nintendo is about release another system next month.

Remember old consoles like GameCube and Dreamcast?

Super Mario 64. End of story.

In all seriousness, it is quite close between the PlayStation and the N64 I think my taste in games would put the N64 just above. I hate the N64 controller, though.

Based on my own personal taste in games, the N64, but trying to think a bit more objectively I think the PS1 has actually aged better.

In terms of a nostalgic party with your friends, N64 has aged shockingly well, bc despite the lack of titles overall it has the key titles like Mario kart 64, ssb, goldeneye, etc

When people ask me what the greatest system of all time is, I usually say SNES

Methinks N64.

Durable cartridges instead of long scratched up discs, no heating issues, so many high quality titles rather than a glut, and an excellent controller for the man hands I got.  Also, the really good looking titles still look pretty good, not laughably grainy.

Sega takes spot two since PlayStation controllers suck, and Windows 95 crashed a lot.

I agree, especially since the SNES just got better and better as they created more games for it. Compare a game like Super Mario World, which is perfectly good in its own right, to a game like Donkey Kong Country.

Of these choices, I'll say N64, because muh childhood, though PS1 was a good system in retrospect.

The N64 had a good controller and PlayStation controllers suck? We got some #UnpopularOpinions here. Tongue

Dude that's so true; it's crazy that my billion-year old SNES/N64 plus controllers still work beautifully but my f**king Gamecube, PS2, etc broke in like, 3 years tops.

N64 playing goldeneye, hot wheels racer, wave runner, and Pokémon stadium was my jam.

Voted N64.

I was also a big fan of the Dreamcast, and think it is incredibly underrated. It was amazing and a shame it didn't do well.

And I don't trust anyone my age that didn't appreciate the Sega Genesis.

What makes them mutually excluded from each other? Some of the best times with friends were playing Mario Kart and infuriating them by using the Rainbow Road shortcut, or spamming Ness's Thunder in Super Smash Bros..

I like my D-Pads to be actual D-Pads, no apologies for that.

Super Mario 64 is too easy, it's garbage. Banjo Kazooie & Tooie are far more challenging.
