Alright folks, this may just be our last bill to debate of the session, as we're projected to end the voting period just a couple of days before the elections next week. If it is indeed our final bill together, I would like to just say: thank you all for your dedicated service to the people of the Northern Region, for your tireless work and dedication to activity, as well as your thoughtful and thorough remarks to ensure that these bills are as good as they can be in order to help as many people as possible. Thank you all.

72 hours to debate, 48 to vote.

As one of the bill's sponsors, the proposals of this bill are agreeable.

First of all, thank you R2D2 for your leadership and contributions to this chamber and to the citizens of the North.  You will be missed around here but we look forward to seeing you in the Senate.  Thank you also to JGibson for being a productive partner in the Assembly, and I look forward to working with you for another term.  And of course thanks to Gov. Wells for all that he's done for the region and nation.  I can't wait to help serve the region with him again next term.

Meanwhile, I wholeheartedly support this bill.  It is abundantly clear that discrimination is and will end up on the wrong side of history.  As a devout believer in Dave, I could never discriminate against someone who believes in another administrator or none at all.  I also believe that this legislation is consistent with federal anti-discrimination law.  I also like how this legislation is balanced by including a penalty for false reporting, as this will prevent abuse.  Happy Northern Anti-discrimination Month!

I'm going to end debate slightly early. The bill has passed and now awaits the Governor's signature.

I also ask the Governor for permission to adjourn this session of the Assembly early, as we have no more legislation in queue.

x Mike Wells

We do have plenty of time to pass more bills, provided that they are written. Assembly members should be working on writing those bills. Though I will be willing to adjourn for a day or two so they can work on that.
