I don't approve of some of her random vendettas, but those are only a small portion of otherwise well-thought-out and engaging posts, and very few have really crossed the line from "makes people butthurt" to "actually mean." I'm sure the fact that we're close politically is clouding my judgement somewhat, but she's a sound FF in my mind.

I think that she sometimes get overly invested in certain arguments and her style can be... rather abrasive; but overall I think that she's a positive presence.  She also provided an opening to use a joke that I've been waiting weeks to use, which is always appreciated!

Yes.  There were 'opinion of' threads for political figures before that, but that was the first 'opinion of' thread for a poster.
