HP, tbh (but I do very much appreciate the kind words).

The whole Jante's Law thing makes me wonder if he really hates unusually successful people or has some other type of interpretation of that ideology.

I really hate people who think they're better than everyone else - which I'm pretty sure is what Jante's Law is all about. But anyway, I've had that username for a while and it's probably time for a change.

Well, there you go. That seems appropriate to commemorate the beginning of the Age of T***p (and no, I'm not giving up on this for at least the next 4 years - bring on the HP votes).

FF, but Demig(o)d Tulip isn't an accurate description for the Donald.

I don't mind Donald. Not my favorite name by any stretch, but there's worse. Donald Duck is a FF, Donald Tusk is pretty bad but a relative FF in the context of Polish politics (and his response to Brexit was very high-energy), Donald Winnicott had some fascinating insights (though I balk at the notion of a "true self"), and I'm sure there are many other Donalds who are perfectly decent human beings. I'll reserve my disdain for T***p.

Antonio is my inspiration for ensuring I don't waste a single drop of water when refilling my water bottles. He pushes me to moral standards I had never before found possible.

Wait, what? Huh I literally never refill my water bottles (I don't trust tap water around here).

Thanks all. Smiley It does actually mean quite a bit to me.

A clearly FF. It's a pleasure to discuss things with him. Smiley

Likewise. Smiley

almost as good as the first 4 Antonios.

I honestly don't get why people always assume it's a Roman numeral. Huh I thought the first name + last name initial was a pretty common username format.

He's good now, but I seriously think he would be a better if he would try a joint sometime.

Alcohol works quite well for me already, why would I need anything else? Wink

Because it would make you mellow out, and I think your attitude toward it is due to a lack of not doing so.

Hahaha no. I'm already way more laid-back than I should be.

I think AntonioV would have been more unambiguous. The space makes it look like a number.

That's so unaesthetic, though... Maybe "Antonio V."?

I know it's generally a bad idea to defend oneself from attacks in such thread, but I'd like to let Hagrid know that if I chose my politics based on what pleased my social circles I'd be a lot more like him.

We don't agree on much, but FF. He seems to be triggering the right people and it helps that his detractors on the Democratic side are some of the worst posters here.

Can we all agree this is really stupid reasoning?

Anyways, I like Antonio even though he doesn't really seem to like me. He's made some great timelines and is generally a nice poster. His fit about something so pointless was pretty sad though and talking about burning down a party because his guy got 13 less votes was quite nauseating, but hopefully he'll come to grips soon enough.

Huh I don't remember saying anything negative about you.

I can only speak for myself, but your reaction to Perez winning was more surprising than anything else given how OOC it was, tbh.

I might have overcompensated for having semi-willfully ignored all the things that seriously bothered me about the Democratic establishment in the past and clinging to the hope that it could be reasoned with and coaxed into compromising with the demands of the base in the face of evidence of the contrary. Electing Perez might have just been the last straw.

Still, I don't know what's so surprising about this. I was very clear about where I stood in internal Democratic politics for a long time.

I love how BRTD is still rambling on and on about this three days after the fact while I have moved on, but somehow I'm the one who's "obsessing" over it. Roll Eyes
