They actually only have one; for some reason the ABC are counting two Shooters members as Daylight Savings for some reason.

No One Nation at this point; they are close in at least one region though.
Antony green doesn't expect that One Nation will win any seats at all in either house.

They actually have two at the moment if you look at the results: one in the South West and one in North Metropolitan.  Although still early in the count though...

Labor wins safe-liberal seat of Bunbury with a 21.7% swing against the liberals.
Apparently not a safe-liberal seat after all!

This was a complete and utter disaster for Turnbull/Hanson.

Now even seats like Jandakot are falling, where Liberals were ahead last night.  Ouch!

Hillary Clinton supporters have killed it.

40-42 seats out of 59.

Encumbency fatigue after 8.5 years.

Colin lost all the money from the mining boom and we are now in debt.

Nationals did well.

One term under the Liberals and WA sprints back into the arms of Labor. Well done.

Whoa, I guess that's good news. What happened here?

Weak economy with end of mining boom, aging leader, a lot of relatively talented Liberals leaving (rip Troy "chair-sniffer" Buswell), superficial and trivial Liberal campaign and a poorly received deal with One Nation. Add to that the widely disliked Coalition federal government, and the Libs just got routed.

8:30 PM AEDT update

LA
Won: 67.3% counted
LAB: 36
LIB: 11
NAT: 5

Prediction
LAB: 41
LIB: 13
NAT: 5

LC
Prediction:
LAB: 14
LIB: 10
NAT: 4
GRN: 3
ON: 2
SFF: 1
LD: 1

The upper will be hard to deal with, but not as hard as the Victorian upper house, which is such a disaster and mish-mash of parties of conflicting ideologies they may as well just dissolve it.

It is now almost exactly a week since the polls closed (it will be within 15 minutes after this has been posted).

Labor now has 41 seats, and is not expected to gain anything else, while Kalgoorlie is taking it's sweet time to decide whether the Liberals, or the Nationals will win it.

One nation has 4.9% of the vote, and is currently sitting on 2, but in the South Metro district, they could cause an upset depending on how preferences from Family First go

In terms of control of the council, Labor + Greens make up exactly 18 seats, giving them rough control of the council (Labor has 15, a gain of 4, while the Greens are up one, to 3)

So visa 457, labor is vehemently against this, I understand the logic behind it and approve it, but is the left firmly against this in Australia or what, because this would be controversial among the left in other countries? Marc McGowan, is trying to get this program rid of in Perth, and sent the prime minister a letter to get Perth out of this migration scheme.

Just a quick update, as all of the seats have now been given away

LAB: 41 (+21)
LIB: 13
NAT: 5

Kalgoorlie has flipped to the Liberals, and the Nationals have gone to third, with the seat now being a LIB V LAB seat.
