After Nancy Pelosi retires, who would be the most likely congressman or congresswoman to replace her as the leader of the Democrats in the House?

She will never give up her Leadership. She will tyrannize over the caucus from the depths of hell.

I always like Bacerra, but he's seen what happens with Pelosi, and smartly moved to California to actually achieve something

I still cannot fathom how the dems kept the same leadership that oversaw historic defeats in the last decade. From state legislators all the way to congress, the dems are the weakest that they've ever been in a century. Clearly, much like the Republican establishment, the democratic establishment is much more interested in protecting itself rather than actually advancing the electoral success of it's party.

My two hopes (Van Hollen and Becerra) are no longer in the House, and neither Steny Hoyer or Jim Clyburn seems like a huge upgrade over Pelosi (In Hoyer's case, an almost assured downgrade)
