Of course he would say that. Republicans can stick to this "all these protests are fake, bankrolled and meaningless" narrative at their own peril. If this turns into a backlash against them down the road, these smear attempts and false labels won't make a bit of a difference.

They seem intent on lulling themselves into the same narrative of denialism that has been the Democrat's downfall, it's quite amusing to watch really. Perfect recipe to be caught with their pants down come the reaping of what's been sown.

Doesn't Evan McMullin live in Provo? He should totally primary Chaffetz.

Provo isn't in the district, I think. Though even if it isn't, Chaffetz himself didn't even live in the original district anyway when he first ran, so that shouldn't be a problem.

But Chaffetz is not like Cantor; he's not vulnerable to primary battles.

Checked that, and yep, it's entirely within Chaffetz's district.

Not really rural.  Cottonwood is a suburb of SLC.  I don't think people were bused in from out of state but I wouldn't be surprised if most of them were from outside his district.

Most? If they're liberal agitators in ruby red Utah, why not just protest their own representative? Especially since Mia Love is probably more vulnerable as a candidate.

People have no obligation to show standing on an issue to protest.
