Anyone watching ?

3 races already completed.

Switzerland (our arch-enemy ... Tongue) currently ahead in the medal table with 1 Gold and 1 Silver, followed by Austria/Canada with 1 Gold and 1 Bronze each.

Yesterday, a real-life version of South Park's "Wendy" won the Combined Gold medal:

Wendy (South Park):

Wendy Holdener (Switzerland):

Gutted for Lara Gut in the Super-G Sad

Anyway, Men's skiing is boring nowadays, no more Dider Cuche; Carlo Janka is well passed it, and Marcel Hirscher wins absolutely everything. Woohoo...

I was not expecting Beat to win today, given that he hasn't won a world cup race this season. So very pleased Cheesy

It's not turning into the best championship for Austria is it? Although I expect that will change after the slalom and Giant Slalom.

Great picture from Marcel Hirscher after todays Combined:

Look at the results board in the background: Hirscher lost the Gold medal by 0.01 seconds !

That's about 2cm on a 5 kilometer track ... Tongue

And well, congrats to the Swiss (again) for Gold and Bronze.

Yes, Gold and Silver today.

If Hirscher wins the slalom too, we'll pull ahead of Switzerland in the medal table.

But Wendy Holdener could also surprise in the Women slalom ...

Mikaela Shiffrin (USA) wins her 3rd Gold medal in a row in the Slalom, after winning the 2013 and 2015 titles.

Wendy Holdener (Switzerland) with Silver and Frida Hansdotter (Sweden) with Bronze.

...

Now I hope that Marcel Hirscher also wins the Slalom Gold medal tomorrow, so we can pull ahead of Switzerland in the medal table and finish first.

The Empire strikes back !

Double-victory for Austria today, led by the Marcel Hirscher-train. 3rd was the highly likeable Bavarian Felix Neureuther.

Austria finishes ahead in the medal table, with 3 Gold, 4 Silver, 2 Bronze - then Switzerland (3 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze) and France (2 Gold).
