The story of the day on Reince Priebus is that Trump's friend Christopher Ruddy is publicly bashing him. This doesn't bode well for Priebus' position as Chief of Staff.

I'd argue that the botched policy rollouts and poor intercommunication within the administration is evidence of Preibus' lack of control, but the truth doesn't matter so much as the excuse concocted to kick him out.

Very entertaining. So I guess the Pence-Priebus-Ryan wing is under attack now, while the Bannon-Miller wing is strong? I wonder what about Jared Kushner in that equation. I don't think he fits in either wing.

Make Reince resign, replace with a Bannonite.

as much as I hate to "defend" Reince Priebus, the top of the ticket is the problem, not Reince.

Pretty much. No matter who they put in as CoS, problems with inevitably arise again because Trump isn't fit to be president - his temperament, his poor decision-making skills, his penchant for picking incompetent staff, his desire for chaos, his inability to let even the smallest slights go and all these unpopular policies, they all contribute to what will probably remain a failed presidency.

Priebus has been in trouble since he accepted the position.

Nacht der langen Messer?!

Very impressive.  We usually get in at least one page before Godwin kicks in, even in threads about Republicans.

Pussygrabber Godwin'd his whole administration himself weeks ago.

Besides, Godwin's Law doesn't apply to discussion of actual Nazis.

Ahh the stories are beginning. One month in. I expect Priebus to be gone by 2018 but I think he will survive most of 2017. He's probably the only one keeping Trump from ethical landmines and the only one who's versed in understanding Washington, aside from the vice president.

The real fun will start when he's gone and Trump slips the leash and puts Bannon in power as Chief of Staff.

Yes because Bannon is doing a bang-up job. This of course will end well.

As difficult as trump may be to work for / defend, I think he could have found more competent people than the entourage he assembled. Maybe all the better people said no, but these people are stupid and/or arrrogant.

This administration has been an absolute disaster both organizationally and policy-wise. I knew Trump was going to run a comparatively incompetent administration, but this is beyond that.

Someone has to be blamed. It certainly won't be the person at the very top, so it will be lower level staff who takes the hits.

We need to keep the movement conservatives- and not the nationalists- advising President Trump.  I don't necessarily think people like Bannon are racists or white supremacists, but they do not represent my ideology, either!

Bannon, far as he is from my ideology, is much closer to it than Reince.
