Super Mario World and Tetris Attack. I used to go toe to toe with my mom in Tetris Attack.

Tron.

That came out when I was about 14 and it was the only one I really liked.  By the time I was about 16 I had outgrown video games, including Tron.

Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Tecmo Bowl got a ton of mileage out of any kid circa 1988-89. Smiley A couple other games are possible, but those in that order popped into my mind first. The Mac-imported first person point-and-click games comes to mind too.

I lost track of video games with the first Play-Station. The Castlevania game for that platform was a fitting coda/end to video games, IMO. "Gaming" (no one called it that back when) now is a different animal than what I can remember. The 3D action stuff now is just something different.

Super Mario 64 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time were the defining games of my childhood. As I got older, I had a lot of great times playing Smash Bros Melee and Halo 2 with friends, and GTA: San Andreas is also a classic.
