Yes, often. Every monday I pass where the person I like hangs out on the way to a class(there are two seperate lunches), I always want to wave at them, but they never see me, and I'm too awkward to go up to say hi. It happens quite a bit with other people and other circumstanses as well.

What happens to me is that I wave at them and they don't see me--or I wave at them and they see me after the wave, so I'm like...uh, do I wave again? Did they see it? What is the etiquette? Is it worse to be a double-waver or an evil snubber?

Really, most of the time I'm too shy to do a full wave, and I end up looking a lot like Gomer Pyle (not sure how many people would get that reference, but still Tongue).

Waving is completely awkward for me. If I could, I'd avoid it completely, but I'm too outgoing for that.

When I swim I get to the end of the lane sometimes and look up to see the clock:

Yes, that's my pool. And then sometimes people wave, but I cannot really see that well out of foggy goggles, so I rarely wave back. So IU am not being rude, just focused on something else.

What goes around comes around with waves.

I'm usually on the receiving end - lots of people wave to me when I don't see them.

Yes, yes it does.

But I am not so shy that I won't call out said person for not waving back next chance to get closer

...and yes Leinad, I get the reference.

Nah, I don't go out and about enough to often wave at people.

I wave a lot at people. Sometimes they see me first and I'm returning the greeting. Sometimes I see them first, and then maybe they see me and maybe they don't. Most often I wave at a crowd when I'm recognized in a large group.
