It's not going to be Petraeus.  He'd need permission to travel to certain places, and does he still have the highest security clearances, and if not, why would they give him that level of clearance.

The level of hypocrisy from Trump/Republicans on Petraeus makes me dizzy. It shows just how little they actually cared about Hillary's email server, and how all of their election season drama was nothing but raw partisan politics. Not to say that it is surprising or needed confirmation, though.

Unless she declined it I can't see why Fran Townsend isn't on the top of Trump's list of replacements.  Petraeus is a horrible choice.

Does anyone remember if Townsend was mentioned for this job before?
