the only thing I'll grant Adele is that her "homage" is more tasteful and honest than, say, Amy Winehouse or Sam Smith.

Woah, did Maxwell put Amy Winehouse on the same level of Sam Smith? Bit much man. Smith is just a bleh blue eyed soul loser, Winehouse was more of an artist even if she was done in by her self-destructive tendencies.

(Not that I'm a fan of this tedious retro stuff, although the two worst offenders of recent years haven't been mentioned yet).

Adele is more talented as a singer-songwriter than Beyoncé, even if Beyoncé has arguably had a bigger impact on popular culture and is much more daring.

Speaking as someone who couldn't care less about the Grammys or Beyonce or Adele, I'd say that trying to argue that the woman who has won 22 Grammys already and holds the record as the second highest number of Grammys won by a female artist denied yet another one due to racism is a pretty damn weak case.

Furthermore I'd also say that even caring about who won the award in a category where Justin Bieber was nominated is pretty absurd. The Grammys have about as much credibility as the Teen Choice Awards.
