With General Michael Flynn's resignation over his preelection discussions with Putin, it doesn't make sense that he would have done that with the Trump campaign's knowledge or coordination.  What would have been the point of the discussion otherwise?

My guess on the excuse:
(Flynn: "I just wanted to find out for future President Trump if Putin was trustworthy!")

Maybe this will be harder than I think, but I don't see how it can be difficult to lead this right up to top people in the Trump Campaign if not Trump himself, and, even with the Republican leadership in Congress falling in line with Trump, I don't see how they can't impeach and convict Trump over this.

So, the question is: what did Pence know and when did he know it?

Would Pence appoint a Vice President or would both Trump and Pence be impeached and convicted at the same time making Speaker Paul Ryan the next President.

Yes, if the Democrats nominate someone like a Elizabeth Warren or a hard core liberal. Someone like a Martin Heinrich, John Hickenlooper, or a Amy Klobuchar, no, Pence/Ryan would lose badly.

Trump is done v100.0

What does it say about the state our country is in when 3 weeks into a presidency the opposing party wants the president removed from power.

The last 3 presidents have caused derangement illness in the opposing party.

A President Pence is much scarier than President Trump because, unlike Trump, Pence is a far-right theocratic ideologue who will impose [Christian] Law upon us. Trump is just an incompetent clown, but I'll take him over Pence any day. If, however, he and Pence are both impeached, I could stomach a President Paul Ryan.

The derangement is with those who make idiotic comments like this.

Do you honestly believe that Trump or his senior campaign aides weren't fully in league with Putin?

-I'd have believed it had they removed all of O's sanctions on Russia, Belarus', and Syria on T's first day in office.

Was America a theocracy in 1970?

Ryan will mostly likely be elected President of the House of Representatives in 2020.

We have the world wide web to thank for that. It's just as bad over here with the bitchfest between Remainers and Leavers.

I just don't see the Reagan coalition breaking up in 2020 and i think it will be close, and the Republicans / incumbent party / majority coalition tends to prevail in narrow races so yes I don't see Pence or Ryan losing unless the Dems are winning in a landslide.

Trump is going to sour everyone, his administration is a total clusterf*** and it hasn't even been a month. The Democrats will almost have public support to obstruct Trump and his policies if he continues with his Breitbart way of governing. Trump, his supporters and the GOP are just as blind as Hillary, her supporters and the Democrats coming into the General Election. It's quite funny.

LBJ ran on the agenda of a popular President who had been assassinated and won big against someone widely understood to be an extremist. Pence is an extremist, and he will likely be defeated because he badly represents people who do not accept a fundamentalist-Protestant  basis of governance. Appointed pols usually lose badly in election bids.

Yes, it is possible to be a closet extremist and get elected, as did Donald Trump.  Mike Pence is not in the closet.

I'm still not convinced that Pence would be worse than Trump.

Worse in that he is an extreme social conservative, better in that he isn't outright deranged like Trump is so at least he'll be predictable.
