1-3 years (moderate hero, doesn't like high treason but also doesn't like locking people up)

Well, for what it's worth, I've never been as anti-neocon as one would expect considering my other political views.

If there's solid evidence that he committed treason- as much as is appropriate for that. That is, quite a lot.  In that case, investigate the whole administration.
If there's no evidence- none.

Prison? I would have thought extrajudicial execution would be your thing.

Anyways, there's no reason to be sure he broke a law.

None. The act he's violated is a 1799 law that's largely toothless and the firing is sufficient humiliation. It was also retarded to talk to Moscow but hey hopefully the Pence wing installs an anti Russian NSA.

I don’t want to rule that. As long as the law provides after he’s found guilty following a fair trial.

It could at least be violating the Logan Act. But as far as I know, nobody has ever been convicted under that law since its enactment in 1800.

Art. 3 of the constitution defines treason as either levying war on the US or "adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." I don't like Russia but I'd hardly call them our enemy. Flynn probably violated the America First principle and Im glad he resigned, but all he did was talk to some guy and then lie about it. Conduct unbecoming of an officer? Yes. Bribery? Maybe, who knows. Treason? Of course not. Ted Kennedy went and begged the USSR for political donations in 1984 and nobody is calling that "treason". Its the one crime defined in the constitution and it is so serious of a charge that it shouldn't be bandied about like what happened to the word "racist". This is just more of BRTDs illiberal bigotry against things he associates with those subhuman slavic mongrels Russians.
