Is see a lot of forum members from outside of the US (or at least their Location Avatar is another Country)...  BTW I'm impressed- I usually don't know anything about foreign politics other than Head of State candidates.

How are you all so intimately familiar with US politicians (House & Senate races, etc) living in another country?  (and) Do you have a job in the political arena in your respective countries?

- US politics are important for everyone....

- US politics are the biggest game in the whole world....

for me it's both an addiction and necessary to understand, how our own politics are going to be shaped the next few years. if the US acts in a specific ways, other countries follow....like for example russia and russia's actions are transforming all of europe.

I do have have a job in politics, so to speak.

More than a decade ago, when I was still at university studying political science, I also had an American poli-sci professor for a couple of semesters. This professor had previously worked in the Congressional Research Service in Washington.

I do have all seven seasons of The West Wing on DVD too. Tongue

Because I'm a nutcase who follows politics all over the globe, and America is a rich source of Anglophone politicking.

That's a good point. Following Italian politics wouldnt be half as easy as it is with American (or British) politics, since I can't read Italian. However, I can read the New York Times.
