The government education industry complex has grown like a virus. Government education industry complex staffing is almost quadruple what it was during the Kennedy Administration.

That's not true.  A lot of schools are actually understaffed with most of the personnel working part-time.  I will agree that some school principles make a s***-load of money (in most states the person with the highest income is a university president), but for most teachers, the income they make is barely enough to get by.

The median income of a US high school teacher is $57,200 a year. Again, that's actually $57,000 for 10 months but even if it was for a full year, that's still a lot of money. If you are "barely getting by" on $57,000 a year, you are literally mentally disabled and should not be in charge of teaching children.

That's probably the salary of full-time teachers.  Part-timers or subs don't make anywhere near that much.  Plus, high school teachers are not the only teachers that exist.  I can understand why a Trump supporter would hate teachers (they love the uneducated), but why does a red avatar hate teachers so much?

Median salary of an elementary school teacher is 55 and the median salary of a middle school teacher is 56.

Yes, I'm talking about full time. Why would you except someone who works part time to make the same as someone who works full time?

What are you proposing? That part time teachers should be paid for time they don't work? Or they should be paid double because they work less?

Teachers are well paid. Especially compared to other Western countries.

Don't take the word of teacher's unions that teachers are on the brink of poverty. They are not objective. It is literally the job of a union to always insist on getting raise for their members regardless of performance, merit, or market value.

The summer "vacation" is when those in the teaching profession mostly take care of the professional development and recertification that those in other professions don't all do during the same time of the year. Do doctors only work when in the examination room? Do lawyers work only when in the courtroom? Do teachers work only in the classroom? The answer to all three is no.
