If Pence becomes President before this term ends, then how many of Trump's policies would he "change course" on?

Would he follow-through or change-course:

1. On the Wall?
2. On the Ban?
3. On Infrastructure spending?
4. On rejecting TPP?
5. On making sure there's an adequate ObamaCare replacement?
6. On not repealing Obama-era LGBT protections?
7. On appointments already made?
8. On renegotiating NAFTA and other trade deals, and possible tariffs?
9. On the hands-on approach to businesses, and the business advisory council?
10. On ICE raids and deportations?
11. On not issuing a "religious liberty" EO?
12. On warming up to Russia?
13. On foretelling war with China?
14. On putting Iran "on notice"?
15. On the tougher approach to Mexico?
16. On a possible trade deal with the UK?
17. On calling on Israel to stop new settlements?
18. On being open/undecided on torture?
19. On the general tone of the administration so far?

20. On whatever else I missed?
(Or future decisions where they might or might not differ, from ISIS to Iraq's Oil to a Muslim Registry to Mass Deportations to ending DACA to Tax Reform to Coal Jobs to Veterans to Marijuana to Loosening Gun Laws to Urban Crime issues?)

I am not up for a 20 question Democratic famtasy this morning.

But if Pence becomes President can the Republicans offer up anyone else in 2020.

In other words, does Pence go through the Primary selection washing machine?

It's not a fantasy. I'm worried about Pence, and these include some reasons why. The 20 questions are a starting point for discussion, this thread isn't meant to be a questionnaire.

And incumbent Presidents always have to be renominated and go through the primaries. The question is if any challengers get significant support.

Pence moves back to a generally more neoliberal position but largely enforces a lot of the Trumpian agenda. There's no centrist with Pence; he's much more a standard style Republican.

You think he'd keep the LGBT protections?

Or Russia, Mexico, Trade, Infrastructure, ObamaCare replacement?

Or Wall/Deportation, the Ban, and NATO?

If Pence becomes President before this term ends, then how many of Trump's policies would he "change course" on?

Would he follow-through or change-course:

1. On the Wall? this is too fundamental of a Trumpian promise for Pence to change course and say the wall won't be built. I could see him deciding it won't be built, but some force would have to serve as a scapegoat
2. On the Ban? would be quietly abandoned; I think this'll be the case under Trump as well, in favor of "extreme vetting"
3. On Infrastructure spending? there won't be a massive stimulus, but I don't think there would be a total pull-back from the Trump position
4. On rejecting TPP? won't be called "TPP", but a similar deal is back on the table
5. On making sure there's an adequate ObamaCare replacement? this is more up to Congress than to Pence
6. On not repealing Obama-era LGBT protections? he'll stick with Trump's decisions, or if anything go farther
7. On appointments already made? a few folks will go, but he'll mostly stick with the Trump team
8. On renegotiating NAFTA and other trade deals, and possible tariffs? these will be scrapped
9. On the hands-on approach to businesses, and the business advisory council? this will be scrapped
10. On ICE raids and deportations? I suspect these stay about the same
11. On not issuing a "religious liberty" EO? I suspect an EO on religious liberty lines will be issued
12. On warming up to Russia? this is scrapped HARD. the folks in the administration against scrapping it are the ones who get replaced
13. On foretelling war with China? is this something Trump's been doing?
14. On putting Iran "on notice"? no change
15. On the tougher approach to Mexico? scrapped
16. On a possible trade deal with the UK? no change
17. On calling on Israel to stop new settlements? scrapped
18. On being open/undecided on torture? scrapped
19. On the general tone of the administration so far? scrapped

I still hold out hope for Trump to support religious liberty measures.

You missed "enrich Trump and feed his ego", which is his only ACTUAL "policy". Which is the biggest problem.
