The reason why most of the Texas border has no fence is because much of the property along it is privately owned.  Same with that sliver in New Mexico.

This wall thing is so archaic. As others have said, there are better ways of monitoring illegal migration into our country, more high tech and cheaper.

WHY does it HAVE to be a WALL or a fence? Stooopid.

That reminds of how I wanted the weather camera the local TV news had showing the scene at Lake Murray from the dam to be called the Dam Cam.

Here's how this is going to go down:

Trump will build one section and it'll look really nice
He'll do a photo op and claim the whole thing is/will be built
The media will call him out and he'll fire back accusing them of fake news
His supporters will just believe it to be true

This. The wall is entirely symbolic and useless.
