I'm good with renaming it the Paul Wellstone Terminal.

Also, given Charles Lindbergh was born in Michigan, not Minnesota, it would be more appropriate for Detroit (having the largest airport in that state) to name a terminal after him.  Or maybe an entire airport.

There doesn't seem to be a connection between Lindbergh and Minneapolis, so I wouldn't be opposed per second, but it would depend on who you name it after.  As long as it ain't yet another dead politician, that'd be fine, but renaming it for Mondale or Wellstone is a non-starter in my opinion. Renaming it after Keillor once he passes on would be a fitting tribute.
Naming it the Garrison Keillor Memorial Terminal while he is still living would be the most appropriate.

I'm not a fan of Lindbergh's political views, but being an accomplished aviator is literally the only reason he was famous, so naming an airport terminal after him is not surprising.

They should name an airport after Earhart, though

If we want to judge by modern standards, the vast majority of relevant historical figures would look downright awful considering views and actions, but such an excercise has always looked mostly pointless to me (with a few notable exceptions). If the airport was named like that due to his accomplishments as a pilot, I'm not sure why it should be renamed due to his politics.

Paul Wellstone Terminal, despite the connotations, still sounds the best.

I'd rather not rename it because it doesn't seem that important to me, but if had to, I'd rename it the Paul Wellstone Terminal.

His politics were atrocious even at the time. It's not like he just privately muttered a few racist comments or something.

The Lindbergh family was from Minnesota.  In fact, the famous aviator Charles Augustus Lindbergh's father, Charles August Lindbergh, was congressman for MN-06 from 1907-17.  So, even if the son wasn't born in Minnesota, he likely lived in Minnesota at times - though his mother and father were estranged, and Lindbergh appears to have grown up in multiple places, including Washington D.C.

They should name an airport after Earhart, though

They have - the Amelia Earhart Airport in Atchison, Kansas, her hometown.
----------
The whole idea of renaming of things because you don't like a person's politics is garbage.  Lindbergh may or may not have been a terrible human being, but he was an integral figure in the history of flight.  The MSP terminal is not named after him because of his politics, but because of his flying.

I generally don't like judging historical figures by today's moral standards. But even in the 1940's Lindbergh was largely accused of being a Nazi sympathizer. By FDR himself in fact.

Wow this aged poorly lol.

Frankly based on this logic name it after Prince. I'd take that over Lindbergh.

Just goes to show why you shouldn't name things after living people.

Yes, and things named after him should also be renamed, but he also founded our country so you can at least make that argument.

The NHL had an entire conference named for a fascist, and they changed it, so I don't see why they can't change the name of an airport terminal.

Thomas Jefferson's moral cowardice casts a shadow over this country to this day.

Ventura!

However, I don't support re-naming either of the terminals. I could give less of a damn if Lindbergh was a "nazi sympathizer", which i'm quite sure is just nu-left garbage.

Yes, to the Sophie Scholl-Lyudmila Pavlichenko-Ernst Thälmann Anti-Fascist Union Terminal for Non-Violent Resistance and Direct Militant Aktion.
