Winston Churchill was the greater PM, but I would vote for Thatcher as she dealt with internal problems better.

Churchill at least at some tact on foreign policy and humorous quotes.

I admire some aspects of Thatcher, but come on, Churchill's the only right answer here.

Thatcher and Churchill would be pretty much similar in views on social issues. On the otherhand Churchill was far more for the Social welfare state than Thatcher(Although thats only because the proposal of a welfare state was popular during his time, who knows what he might of thought if he lived to the thatcher era).

WW2 was clearly an external problem as wars against foreign powers are by definition an external problem.

Thatcher was succumy trash, who led attacks on the poor, and working class, in an effort to ruin  the lives of industrial areas, because they voted Labour.

Churhchill, for his many, many faults, on the other hand, actually took part into defeating fascism, and winning WWII, so easy Churchill vote.

Churchill. Would prefer either to any U.S. President since I've been alive.

Well, I voted Churchill but I am pretty sure Thatcher would have been able to rise to the occasion just as well.

Despite his reputation as a "reactionary" in some circles, Churchill did embrace the Post-War Consensus. Given this as well as his position on European integration, I doubt he'd get along well with Thatcher.

It's interesting, by the way, Churchill served two terms as PM without ever winning the popular vote.

Churchill was objectively a better statesman, although he was an appalling Chancellor and acted - at best - extremely amorally during the Bengal famine.
