The first Northern Assembly thread had four pages. The second Northern Assembly thread had two pages. The third Northern Assembly thread had only one page. We're Lincoln now, and I'm sure that cool name will give us lots of incentive to get stuff done, right?

There are a few things to do first. If you're an Assemblyman, then swear in if you haven't already. Then, when terms officially begin on Friday, you're all set to get right to work doing important things. The first order of business in any new Assembly should be getting a Speaker. All announcements must be made starting Friday at noon, and the rest of the procedure will be explained when we get there (though you could read the reading material I'll link in the Vital Civic Information Thread to get a heads up).

Since our former Speaker (who has gone on to bigger and arguably better things) was also the Lieutenant Governor, we have two vacancies. If you wish to be made the Lieutenant Governor, PM me. The Lieutenant Governor has to be a member of the Assembly according to the Constitution, and I'm not going to make the Speaker and Lieutenant Governor be the same person this time.

I think that covers everything. Official business doesn't start until Friday at noon, but I wanted to get this up a the start of our transition into another term.

If my two cents is worth anything, I think Drewmike would make an excellent Speaker.

That's nice. If there are no objections for 24 hours, then Drew Mike becomes Speaker and we can begin official business.

However, I still have yet to appoint a Lieutenant Governor, so PM me if you're interested in that.

With our region's former Assembly Speaker DrewMike headed to the House, we will need a new Speaker for this Assembly for at least the rest of this current term.

As with all vacancies, we'll hold a special election this weekend.

With the election of Hoosier Nick to the Assembly in this past weekend's special election, the next part is choosing the Speaker to lead the way for the remainder of this term.

With the resignation of Spark, the Assembly's lone non-Labor AM, we will have a special election this weekend. As of now, it appears to be a write-in fest.

kyc0705 has won this past weekend's special election to fill the spot vacated by Spark498.

On the Speaker's gavel front for the remainder of this term: CXSmith is currently the lone announced candidate Speaker.

The current term is about to end and a new one is about to begin, so swear in. The Speaker is presumed to be still CXSmith.

I want to welcome RGN to the Lincoln Assembly, joining the other four members (CXSmith, Lok1999, kyc0705, and me).

- Lincoln (North) AM/Lt. Gov JGibson.
