I think there have been enough of these events at this point to warrant a megathread containing them all.  If a mod objects for whatever reason, then feel free to delete this thread.

Dont have a link now...but Mitch McConnell got screamed at by a coal miners family at his town hall today

I overheard the clip on TV and it was awesome.

I just caught the end of it, but the lady ended her tirade by saying "or would you prefer I sit down and shut up like Elizabeth Warren?"

Comparisons are appropriate. If the techniques are different in Nebraska and New Jersey, then it might be telling. Issues are relevant.

For most non-locals. "Congressman from Illinois" and "Congressman from Indiana" will be all that matters.

Isn't he the one who got elected basically on a platform of "Eric Cantor is aloof and doesn't spend enough time talking to his constituents"?

Senator Cassidy just told his constituents that they don't read bills and now he's getting shouted down for it.

I love it!  I feel it could trend on Twitter with some kind of push.

You see the distant flames
They bellow in the night
You fight in all our names for what we know is right
And when you all get shot
And cannot carry on
Though you die, La Resistance lives on

At the risk of taking a joke too seriously: The "tea" in Tea Party originated as both a historical reference and an acronym (Taxed Enough Already). I don't think it bodes well that when we try to invent a left-liberal equivalent to this, we refer to a name that refers specifically to Trump's personality and temperament and not any shared stances on policies, issues, or values.

Well, it can't all be bad. At least we don't have the irony that the Tea Party had when they formed after Obama had given everyone a big tax cut for 2 years.

People packed the auditorium of a Pat Toomey town hall...without him in it!  Instead, they put up a literal empty suit in the front of the room:

Something similar happened over here with Darrell Issa. They had a Waldo cardboard cutout with his head on it:

If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

-- Harry S. Truman, 33rd President of the United States.

...I wonder if there will be any resignations out of this.

I love looking at the town halls in Arkansas, Kentucky and Louisiana. These are good and honest folks lashing out against politicians that  continue to ignore dire issues in rural communities. Its really about time that the forgotten folks of the South start realizing that the Republican Party is not on their side.

Is it a no show at a town hall when it isn't the elected officials townhall?
