Which Hillary would you rather have a president.

Some differences are: Hillary in 2008 wasnt as far left on social issues, or economic issues and ran a more old school type democrat campaign in 08 then 16.

I wold take Hillary 2008 over 2016 mainly cause she was more centrist , and didnt have all the baggage then as she does now.

Of course I would rather have Bill as president over either version of Hillary but I take 08 over 16.

Hillary Clinton would have passed comprehensive immigration reform to ensure the Latino vote would be a core constituency and help elect more Dems. Without Immigration reform the Dems lost the Senate in 2014 and the Presidency in 2016.  Obama made a grave mistake in letting immigration reform go in 2009 when he had 60 votes in the Senate.

Still the same pandering empty suit, but I guess 2008.

Clinton of 08, had a much better campaign message, and focus on policies to help the working class.

'08 by far.

More idealistic in tone, better platform and messaging, and better at crunching when it's crunch time...much less complacent.

This. I absolutely agree with what you said here. I would have probably voted for 2008 Hillary but not for 2016 Hillary. In 2008 she was pretty moderate but by 2016 Hillary and the Democratic Party in general just went totally far left.

Prominent Democrats were willing to criticize 2008 Hillary, so she would be less destructive.
