Now let's revoke federal protections for illegal immigrant children. It's only fair, and a campaign promise.

How many times has this been reported on? It's a draft document. The WH M.O. is to leak draft documents that they never pull the trigger on, stonewall reporters' emails, and then come out and deny it after the fact so they can call "fake news" when it's reported about.

Spicer wasn't doing much to deny it in the briefing room today.

Trump returning to the policy of the first term of Obama on this is not really surprising, if true.

Yeah, the last 5 years has seen American social policy move left very quickly, and now that the leftward movement is slowing down people think that the religious right has got their way or something.

If Trump's immigration EO's go through (which it looks like they will), our social policy on that front will be the most conservative it has been in decades.

Notwithstanding my opposition to schools discriminating in such a way, this is what happens when you try to build a house on a foundation of sand. This was a guidance letter in response to a specific request by a school; the notion that such a flimsy document alone could be used to enforce a massively impactful policy at every public school in the country is absurd. Obama most likely could have had his administration go through the rulemaking process to formalize this policy if he prioritized it early enough. Instead he waited until the last year of his presidency to pretend he cared. A rulemaking would have at least taken time to undo.

If Democrats want Transgender protections, then they need to fight for them to be directly legislated, not through Arcane Interpretations of a law (Title IX) that clearly doesn't address transgenderism. Enough Said. Glad this "guidance" is being rescinded.

DeVos fought for the protections??? Knowing where her family has put their money this is very shocking. I guess she very quietly isn't too anti-LGBT. But of course, she broke down and caved in. Far from a hero, but I can't believe she put up any fight on this issue.

This is one of those things you just ask "Why?". Got to give credit to DeVos for standing up but Trump listened to Sessions. Do anybody really want to open up a debate about who goes to what bathroom.

Mr. 38% approval rating still thinks he has a mandate.  He does not.  He's greatly overstepping his bounds.

Immigration isn't really related to LGBT.
