Buttigieg

then Ellison...

then Perez...

then, idk, Ronan?

sleepy John Kerry lawyer clone

Brown

Greene

last is Harrison

My summary/reaction:

Well that debate sure was something.

I've decided I like Buttigieg better than Ellison. He seems to "get it," with messaging, with grassroots support, with the right experience and youthful optimistic energy.

Jaime Harrison was super-annoying (most besides the big 3 could be at times). "Elect me. DNC Chair is a job. Like, it seems to really be a job. It's about building. The Chair needs a builder! And a fighter! Thank you for everything mom. Oh, an no one else knows that being poor sucks!" (*literally bounces up and down and moves his hands excitedly*) He needed to calm down and stop taking everything personally.
Brown and Greene were annoying too.

Perez dodged a lot of questions, but showed some charm. Though the question about the Donors' Summit was bad. "Well, everyone here was at the Donor's Summit instead of the Women's Marches, except for Buttigieg and the John Kerry clone, but that's not fair, I go to marches too. Everyone else went to the Donors' Summit!" And Greene adding on "the DNC should stop caring about PR and make policy happen!" Well the point of the DNC is to have good PR and communication, to help get people elected, so they can make policy, jeesh. And no, Greene, the Civil War was worse than Trump.

And thank you Buttigieg for realizing that people should stop talking about Millennials like we're all preteens, the oldest of us are approaching 40.

Ronan was just this cynical "you guys all suck, the Democrats suck" candidate... but somehow not annoying, he was pretty funny. No chance of winning though."Ronan: he's just like your cynical Generation X second-cousin... elect him, and listen to him arrogantly complain about the DNC he leads with an occasional valid point. Ronan."

Among online polls since yesterday... Several have Buttigieg winning. But they all seem consistent with our poll... Buttigieg & Ellison ... both far above Perez.  I can't help to think the DNC voters may privately hold somewhat similar views ..  to some extent (I will be interest to see Perez' 1st round vote total ... seeing as the vote is secret ballot)

Twitter (2000 votes):
Buttigieg 39%
Ellison: 38%
Perez: 17%
Other: 6%

Young Democrats Poll (4500 votes):
Buttigieg 48%
Ellison: 42%
Perez: 8%
Other: 2%

CNN Poll (4800 votes):
Ellison: 42%
Buttigieg 17%
Perez: 4%
****This poll has Ronan at 23% ... so not sure what to make of it?

As worthless as online polls were during the presidential election, they mean even less for this. At this point the winner is almost definitely going to be Ellison or Perez, and probably Perez. Perez isn't my first choice, or my second, but he's clearly better than some of the joke candidates.

Ellison, but I would switch my vote to Buttigieg as a compromise choice in later rounds of balloting.

Ellison.

Buttigieg needs to challenge Jackie Walorski for House.

Or run for Governor in 2020.

I watched the debate and I wasn't impressed by anyone.  Buttigieg who everyone seems to like, never really offered any solutions about the serious issues.  He tries to present himself as the gay Obama, but that's not enough to win my support.
Peckarsky probably had the best answer of the night:

Her rarely even references that he is gay.

I was referring to his tendency to use platitudes, like Obama.  His whole thing seems to be there's no Bernie Dem party or Hillary Dem party, which reminds me too much of Obama saying there's no blue or red America (we all saw how that turned out).  I also didn't like how he tried to separate himself from the crowd once by claiming he was the only one to go to the women's march, when Peckarsky (sp?) had also been there, and I'm glad the others called him out, and the 2nd time when he claimed he was the only one with cybersecurity training when Ronan also happens to have such training.
Anyway, sorry but I wasn't impressed.
