Don't worry, Saint Peter will turn him into a white christian in the booth.

I'm not so sure about Hannity.  He better hope he lives a long, long time.

Quite a well-known national name just a decade ago. RIP.

Depressing. He actually used to make Hannity and Colmes somewhat watchable.

A major part of my childhood/preteen years died. I grew up watching Colmes do battle with Hannity.

Often disagreed with him, but all reports portray him as an honorable man. Sad to see die.

Very sad he died so young. He was a gentleman, even when contending with bullies and other unpleasant people, while not being cowed. That is not easy.

Sad news. RIP, Mr. Colmes. I would watch Hannity and Colmes when I was younger.

Yeah, R.I.P. Sad

He was, mm, kind of conciliatory (seemed that Hannity got 75% of the screen time and was far more unhinged, from what I remember of that era), which I suspect allowed Colmes to succeed in an environment where he was surely up to his thighs in rattlesnakes. Who could possibly sit opposite Hannity and just take it? It had to have been tough. He played the part, though, with dignity.

On ESPN there's Kornheiser and Wilbon, who seem to be a more real version of the dynamic.

You surprised?  I guess as long as you're not an *ELITIST*, you can be a total asshole and live with yourself.

Anyway, this is sad.  O'Reily always talked about what a good guy Colmes was.  RIP, FF. Sad

Was his "brief illness" an aggressive form of cancer... or has the brief illness not been disclosed?
