Young Republicans trust the priorities of Republicans in Congress over those of Trump by a double-digit margin -- but they're in a minority in their own party

It must be hard as a young Republican to have much power or influence amidst a sea of old or middle-aged white men.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who has ever interacted with a 'Young Republican'; they're scum.

It's bizarre, isn't it? I definitely favor Trump over the idiotic hacks in Congress.

Anyone with a brain - half of a brain really, would trust anyone but Trump. Unless they were the Kremlin.

So the younger Republicans have a favorable view of Russia, but trust Congress over Trump, while older Republicans have an unfavorable view of Russia, but then trust Trump over Congress? Huh, these are some weird statistics.

Young Republicans might be weird, but they certainly produce some intriguing results.

I mean the gap between Trump and Congress between the older and younger groups is mind-blowing.

The level of trust contrast between self-identified conservatives and moderates is even more noteworthy. Conventional wisdom would have dictated self-identified conservatives were more supportive of party orthodoxy and therefore one would assume they would back Congressional Republicans more strongly, but this survey indicates the exact opposite with self-identified moderates actually displaying greater trust in Congressional Republicans than their conservative brethren.

And yet they're still less scummy than the old folks in the GOP.

That was really a response to people who were calling them weird in the first place. You didn't have to get defensive. Roll Eyes

LOL, it read more as an endorsement of such a thought, but either way not mad. Smiley

Assuming I count as one of the people who was calling young Republicans weird, keep in mind that technically speaking I am a young Republican. Tongue

A lot of the issue with Russia has to do with age.  It's kind of like how people who were alive during WWII have much lower opinion of Japan than someone born in 1950.
