I think Pat Buchanan represents the mood and views of Republican base better than almost every other columnist out there.  If he's a nazi, then so are most Republicans.

Very true.

He literally stated that Nazi Germany was an innocent victim of US imperialism. Partisanship is a hell of a drug.
No, that isn't what he said. He rightfully noted that the Allies attempted to encircle Germany and they reacted as they would have if any right of center government ruled over Germany.
