Not unless the alt right is likewise designated.
The alt-right isn't a group, it's an ideology.

A group of 14 year-olds on /pol/ making Hitler memes isn't an ideology.

Yeah, LARPing as a Nazi does not make one a Nazi.  Nothing the alt-right says is original and anyone who thinks otherwise should pick up a history book.

I don't know the percentages, but the alt-right is split between true believers and trolls.

If an alt-right group is dumb enough to come out publicly in favor of violence (as Antifa have done), they should be banned. Most are smarter than that though, although it's pretty clear some do favor violence secretly.

No? When they cause problems, just release the firehouse, pepper balls, and tear gas on them. Same with the Nazi groups. They're not bombing people (at least yet).

I remember the most recent event in Berkeley was successfully controlled by a large police presence. Whether it is feasible to do this every time someone they dislikes comes to campus is an open question, but it does seem like BAMN can be corralled.

When can we ban the publicly pro-violence alt-right group known as the Republican Party?

Indeed. You can find a few examples of bad behavior in almost all groups.

But only one party here in the US has openly embraced such violence, cheer it on e, and chose as their standard bearer a man who publicly advocates murdering women and children.

Umm, and yet when we go to an ACTUAL news source (NYT), it appears this may in fact be more evidence for Rune Ghost's argument:

"The exchange led to a confrontation among lawmakers, with some pushing and pointing at one another. Some legislators had to be restrained. Mr. Rinaldi got into a face-to-face argument with Representative Poncho Nevárez, a Democrat, and threatened to shoot him.

“I made it clear that if he attempted to, in his words, ‘get me,’ I would shoot him in self-defense,” Mr. Rinaldi, who represents part of Dallas County in North Texas, wrote in a Facebook post.

Other lawmakers said Mr. Rinaldi was more pointed in the threat to Mr. Nevárez, who represents Eagle Pass, a city on the Texas-Mexico border. “There was a threat made from Rinaldi to put a bullet in one of my colleagues’ heads,” Representative Justin Rodriguez, a Democrat, said at a news conference, according to The Texas Observer.

Emphasis added.

EDIT: Oh, but f#$k Anti-Fa. Beyond useless to counter-productive.
