I'm appalled we emit enough greenhouse gases to be in the 'big 5' Tongue

A minister said the other day that "China emits the same amount of greenhouse gases as us every few weeks". Sure this sounds good, until you consider that China has 1.5 BILLION people, and we have 20 million...

Australia has a very unique and very ancient, but also fragile ecosystem. We're likely to be one of the countries most effected by global warming, which is happening-people can debate if it is natural or not, we do know it's happening and that whilst they might not be the cause, greenhouse gases exascerbate the problem.

If this pact has teeth, about bloody time. If it doesn't, again i'll be dissapointed with another of Howard's token gestures-at least this time sharing the blame around a little bit. He likes to look like a statesman. Smiley
