What is the difference between a cult and a religion?

As far as I can tell, a Cult is bull$%#t created by one person who is usually looking to exploit the female members of his cult sexually and take the members money. That person knows it's bull$%#t.

In a religion, that dude's dead.

When I think of cult, I always think of a schwammi and robes.
