For me it was 1996, I was 7 and remember being surprised at how quickly it wrapped up.

I remember 1992 and Ross Perot.  I think I watched the debates that year.  I was too young to really understand any of it, but I knew there were three people running for President.

2004 was the first election I actually cared about and knew the importance of.

I still remember going to bed that night after 1 AM so disappointed.

Nothing like the day of numbness after election night 2016 though.
