Hopefully statehood finally passes and we can work in a meaningful way towards statehood.

Statehood is needed now more than ever.

Republicans won't give it even if it means having Americans die of famine.

Obviously I'm not all "Republicans" but even when I considered myself one I always supported statehood. Then again I'd probably also be called an "evil neoconservative".

I hope before I die I see Puerto Rico become a US state (but not DC).

Time for statehood! I hope they do follow through with approving a state constitution and sending elected reps to DC. Force the issue.

When Hawaii became a state the population was 600,000 with 155,000 eligible voters and about 144,000 voted. Highest turnout ever at the time but really, nobody voted. Guess according to Green Line we should remove them as a state since most people didn't vote!
