Okay, but which Springfield? There's dozens. I don't want it to be in Springfield MO, but Springfield MA or Springfield IL are fine with me.
However, my personal recommendation is Wounded Knee, SD. Grin

I remember seeing on an episode where they zoomed out on the planet, Springfield was on the right of the Mississippi River so it is likely to be Springfield, IL.

Plus it's got my first name, it's right by Harpers Ferry and it's where the great railroad strike of 1870something (3?) started.

Hey all

Not sure about this whole thing, but just a head's up

I've been to Wounded Knee and the people are pretty nice but it's NOT the place to hold a conference.  300 people, almost all of them in poverty.

Cool symbology, but DEPRESSING place...

Exactly - that was the style of the old now defunct "United Left". We once held conference in Clarksdale MS. Of course Farmer-Labor isn't the UL...but I liked (and shaped) that style... Smiley
