I don't want to derail RI's excellent precinct maps thread, but I am hoping someone here can help me.  I am trying to locate precinct maps for several states after the redistricting and re-precincting that occurred following the 2010 census.  Most sources I've seen just use the 2010 Census Bureau VTDs, unfortunately.

Aaron Strauss has a collection of precinct shapefiles that has been incredibly helpful on github (add https: to the front of this): github.com/aaron-strauss/precinct-shapefiles

But I am still missing NY and NJ.  In talking to the boards of election in both states, they've pointed me to the counties, but I desperately want to avoid calling all the counties and converting maps from PDF to shapefiles.

Does anyone know where I can find up-to-date (or, better, 2012 vintage) precinct maps for NY and NJ, and possibly other states?  I'm open to non-free options as long as they are reasonably low-cost.
