Here are the swing maps for all the last couple presidential elections to 2016. It shows both the short-term, medium-term, and long-term trends in US political geography. I'll try to do a couple more years if I have the time, but feel free to post any more, if you want to.

Georgia and Texas from 2008-2016 really stand out the most to me.

Arizona and Alaska almost did, until I realized McCain and Palin ran in 2008 and those were their home states.
