In case you hold the Trump Administration in contempt and believe that you can really start living again when he and Mike Pence (who is awful in his own right), then here is your countdown:

Dem hack that I am, this is useless for the time being, as there's no guarantee that we'll win in 2020, and if we don't, then this becomes a useless tool, even though we can just change it to 2025.

I figured that there might be times when we might want to say "1300 days left of Trump or Pence" or the like. It's more a utility than a political statement.

We are not yet certain that President Trump will be defeated on November 3, 2020... I would give him a very weak chance of re-election now. I expect no miracles and I am more likely to expect scandals, debacles, and economic meltdowns.

There was something similar on another history chatline involving the end of the Bush 43 Presidency, and I came up with "on the average a child conceived today will never know Dubya as President about 270 days before..."

I can think of some squirrely things to say on Easter Sunday...

Democrats have proven that they are incompetent enough to lose once against Trump, so why not once more?

Horribly and dangerously overoptimistic.

Why on earth would anyone believe that a self-described dictatorship would obey term limits or allow itself to be voted out of office?

Because Trump isn't the racist sexist fascist dictator you believe he is?

The actions and words of President Pussygrabber and his government to date say otherwise.

Really, 2016 should be reason enough not to become arrogant and assume you've won before the vote happens. Y'all got burned once doing that....

Aren't you the same guy who repeatedly claimed that the 2020 election would not be free and fair?

Things are changing fast.

We have a race between consolidation of power and resistance, between power and liberty, between fanaticism and reason, between desperation and hope, and between dictatorship and Constitutional norms. Or as Dickens would put it,

Since when are the democrats for liberty? Much of the opposition is partisan grandstanding  over which faction gets to wield obscene power, not any serious attempt to limit that power generally. Its not like the government under obama didnt deport illegal immigrants or drone brown people weddings or have courts tell them that they've exceeded their power. The 2016 platform even called for reducing the protections of the 1st amendment. The real difference is that this time around we have a buffoonish mix of nixon and rob ford in charge instead of the cool black guy.
