Hillary's numbers got pretty bad before the election. I don't know if there were any pre-election polls where she had a worse favorable than Trump, but this one was pretty close.

His poll numbers will come up some, until he make some legislative proposals like Tax cuts and Repeal in Obamacare.

Obamacare is popular now and if the GOP persue the repeal, then Speaker Ryan will be toppled.  Because Medicaid expansion, under Obamacare has worked.
