Now with AG Jeff Sessions asking 46 U.S. attorneys to resign, can you see U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara running for governor as an Independent? Can he change the dynamic of the governor's race?

I both see Cuomo and De Blasio as neutral, they did some good things for the city and the state as a whole, but they do have some questionable corruption ties.

If Preet Bharara does run for N.Y. governor, would the N.Y. Democratic Party enter a period of division if Bharara aims for Cuomo's job?

Whoever the next United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York is, Cuomo and De Blasio may be very worried. They could be in trouble by the end of year. However, Bharara used to work for Sen. Chuck Schumer. Schumer has a lot of proteges, Anthony Weiner, Preet Bharara, Micheal Cusick.

Schumer has a lot of proteges, connections.

Bharara has a couple of paths to the New York governorship:

1. Run as an Independent against Gov. Cuomo and the Republican candidate (whoever it is)
2. He can split the moderate voters who may lean towards Cuomo
3. Run a populist, anti-corruption campaign
4. Try to appeal to black and Latino voters in NYC, Upstate New York, Long Island about failing education system, etc.

Bharara could have a chance if he does run, we'll have to stay tuned and watch what happens.
